Match Report
25th March 2000
Oldham Town 0-3 Warrington Town
A very lacklustre first half saw town create numerous chances but, as in recent games, we were unable to capitalise on our superiority over a very robust Oldham side. However, the oranges at half time must have done the trick as straight from the kick-off, Ged Bushell raced 25 yards to tuck away Town's first. Town continued to rattle the Oldham defence and but for Russell Ingham in goal might have had a bucketful. On 76 minutes Andy Barr came on as a substitute and scored just one minute later with his first touch of the ball. Town wrapped it up on with four minutes left of the 90 when Ged Bushell scored a carbon copy of his first goal. The sad note of the day was that only 8 home supporters turned up and were totally outnumbered by the Town support.
